25/26 Looking back on our wonderful moments from autumn and winter to spring and summer

At Pipaland, we believe that children learn far beyond the pages of a book. Learning happens naturally through the things they experience every day – through play, songs, stories, creativity and exploration.
From autumn and winter 2025 through spring and summer 2026, we shared so many joyful and memorable moments together. Some days began with everyone gathered around for an engaging picture book story. On other days, our classroom became a lively little space for movement and active play. Sometimes we rolled up our sleeves and made our own lunch or snacks. And whenever the weather allowed, we headed outdoors to run, play, explore and enjoy the world around us.
Looking back at autumn and winter 2025 and spring and summer 2026, we are reminded that even the simplest everyday moments can become precious memories in a child's journey of growing and learning.

📖 A Storybook Is a Doorway to Another World

Story time has always been an important part of life at Pipaland.

Our teachers bring picture books to life with expressive voices, playful sounds and lots of interaction. Sometimes they become one of the characters; sometimes they pause and ask the children, “What would you do?”

As they listen, the children look closely at the illustrations, guess what might happen next and share their own ideas. And sometimes, one story becomes the inspiration for an entire day. We might talk about the characters, create something inspired by the book or even act out the story together.

For children, a picture book is so much more than a story to listen to. It is a doorway into a world of imagination, curiosity and endless possibilities.

🤸 Move, Play and Have Fun – Even Indoors

Our classroom can become many things: a little indoor playground, a space for movement and challenges, or a place for energetic group games.

Through running, jumping, balancing and playing together, children develop coordination and body awareness while naturally learning important social skills – taking turns, cooperating, following rules and finding ways to play together.

And most importantly, they have fun!

The focused faces during a challenge and the proud smiles afterwards remind us that play itself is an important part of learning and growing.

🥣 When We Make It Ourselves, It Tastes Even Better

At Pipaland, we love giving children the chance to get involved in preparing their own food.

From simple lunches to little snacks, the children can help wash, cut, mix, shape and arrange the ingredients. Along the way, they discover different foods and experience the joy of turning individual ingredients into something they can eventually enjoy together.

There is always a special sense of excitement when something they have helped make is finally ready to eat.

And somehow, food you make yourself always seems to taste just a little bit better!

These activities also give children natural opportunities to strengthen their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination, understand simple sequences and routines, and experience the joy of creating something together with friends.

✂️ Creative Time: Turning Seasons and Stories into Art

Creative time at Pipaland is always full of colour, ideas and imagination.

Throughout the year, we create projects inspired by different celebrations and seasons – from Chinese New Year and Carnival to Easter, the Dragon Boat Festival, the Mid-Autumn Festival, Halloween and Christmas.

Sometimes, a creative project begins with a picture book.

With paper, paint, scissors and all kinds of materials, the children are encouraged to turn their own ideas into something they can hold in their hands. No two creations need to look the same. What matters most is the process: how each child thinks, explores, experiments and brings their own idea to life – and, of course, the pride on their face when their creation is finished.

In this way, celebrations become more than dates on a calendar. They become experiences that children can explore, create and remember.

🌿 Outdoor Adventures: The World Is the Best Playground

As the days become warmer, our outdoor time becomes something we look forward to even more.

The moment we arrive at the playground, the children become little explorers. Running, jumping, climbing, balancing and sliding – every movement is a chance to discover something new, and every new attempt is a little challenge to overcome.

Sometimes the adventure is simply playing together at the playground. It may sound simple, but these everyday moments can bring an incredible amount of joy.

Outdoors, children learn to notice the world around them, play and share with friends, and work together when they encounter little challenges along the way.

Sunshine, a gentle breeze, laughter and rosy cheeks after a morning of play – these are some of our favourite sights of spring and summer at Pipaland.

🧺 Snack Time, Outdoors

When the weather is especially beautiful, even snack time can become a little outdoor adventure.

We take our food outside, find a comfortable spot and enjoy a little Pipaland picnic together.

Eating outdoors somehow makes snack time feel extra special. The children sit together, chat, laugh and enjoy their food – and once the snack is finished, there is plenty of time left to run, play and explore.

☀️ From Autumn and Winter to Spring and Summer – Growing Together, Little by Little

Looking back on all these activities, we are reminded that life at Pipaland does not follow a fixed script.

A picture book can become a journey into an imaginary world.A piece of paper can become a child's own festive creation.A meal can turn into a hands-on experiment.A playground can become a base camp for little explorers. And a patch of grass can become the perfect place to share food, stories and laughter.

These are the little moments we treasure most.

Because so much of a child's growth happens in the everyday moments: the first time they bravely try something new, the first time they accomplish something independently, the first time they help a friend – and all those spontaneous smiles and bursts of laughter that come simply from having fun.

Thank you to all our children for filling each day at Pipaland with stories.

We are already looking forward to all the new stories, creations, adventures and wonderful moments that are still waiting for us.

Autumn and winter have passed, and spring and summer have arrived.
But our story continues – and the next little adventure is already waiting for us.
