A Day in PIPALAND
Pipaland offers fun and educational experiences for children with a daily routine that includes dance, music, art, crafts, storytelling, and indoor/outdoor activities. The children will have the opportunity to explore their creativity and learn new skills in a safe and nurturing environment.
Rhythm and Music
Learning songs not only boosts children's memory and comprehension but also expands their Chinese vocabulary. Through singing, they effortlessly learn sentence structures and grammar. Rhythm activities help develop their coordination and balance. Activities involving hand movements, such as clapping and shaking bells, improve fine motor skills, which are beneficial for future writing and tool handling.
Storytime
We carefully select books and narrate engaging stories to immerse children in the colorful world of picture books. We guide discussions and encourage kids to share their thoughts and feelings. This enhances their language expression skills and fosters a love for reading and listening to different perspectives.
Art and Craft
In our art and craft sessions, children can unleash their creativity and imagination. We guide them to use various materials like colored paper, clay, watercolors, and brushes to create unique pieces of art. Besides enhancing their artistic skills, these activities also help improve their focus and hand-eye coordination. We encourage kids to express their ideas freely, helping them gain confidence and a sense of achievement through their creations.
Festive Celebrations and Culinary Experiences
During festivals, we organize activities rich in festive traditions to let children experience the charm of traditional culture. For Chinese New Year, we do paper cutting, write couplets, and sing New Year songs. For the Dragon Boat Festival, children learn about dragon boat racing and making rice dumplings. Through stories and picture books, they learn about the background of Mid-Autumn Festival. Kids can not only enjoy the festive atmosphere in PIPALAND but also get to know the Chinese cuisine culture.

At PIPALAND, we have six adorable learning companions who grow alongside the children. They share in the joys and experiences of each season, exploring the wonders of nature and nurturing curiosity in everyday life.

小春Xiao Chun
Xiao Chun loves nature and outdoor activities. His favorite pastime is spending time by Lake Zurich with his family.When spring arrives, he dons his straw hat and blue-and-white sandals, running around outside. He enjoys observing the little fish and aquatic plants in the lake and often shares stories of the interesting animals he sees with his friends. Besides sports, Xiao Chun loves gardening with his mom. His balcony is filled with flower pots.He carefully waters them and watches them grow everyday.
小夏Xiao Xia
Xiao Xia has a fondness for animals. She loves hiking with her family on weekends, always bringing along her little camera to capture beautiful landscapes. Her dad often displays the pictures she took on their home walls. At school, she is a friend to everyone and her favorite subjects are art and math.
小秋Xiao Qiu
Xiao Qiu has an strong eager to explore the world, always ready to learn new things. He has a little book corner at home, and he spends time every day reading about outer space and artificial intelligence. He dreams of inventing a robot one day. No matter what science question you ask him, he is always able to answer.
小冬Xiao Dong
Xiao Dong has a vivid imagination and loves reading picture books, listening to stories, and telling them. Her favorite season is winter when it snows. She enjoys eating all kinds of food and often cooks with her parents. Xiao Dong loves making friends and frequently shares fun board games with them. She also loves to celebrate festivities.
小琵琶Xiao Pipa
Xiao Pipa excels at playing Gobang, calligraphy, drawing, origami, and crafts. She often visits the Zurich Art Museum, drawing inspiration for her creations. On her fourth birthday, her grandmother in Singapore sent her a small lute. Her grandmother, a former lute teacher, now lives in Switzerland and teaches Xiao Pipa to play every Wednesday afternoon.
阿吉Aji
Aji speaks German, English, French, and Spanish, and is currently learning Chinese. He loves listening to Chinese songs. Whenever he gets hold of a tablet, he immediately searches for Chinese music and dances along. He has traveled to many countries with his parents, collecting a magnet from each city to bring back to Switzerland. His room now has a wall covered with magnets from around the world. He dreams of continuing his travels as an adult, speaking the local language wherever he goes.
